MPC Loaner Tools Program

Tools are LOANED to MPC verified members only.  Users should understand this is a service to MPC members and not a commercial enterprise. Please do not ask to borrow these tools if you are not a member. Membership is free, and benefits are great!

Each tool/kit will have it's own Tool Master (TM). Each tool will be located at the TM's home or shop and shipped from that point to the memeber. Tools may be out on loan at any given time, so check the calendar to make shure of availability. Tools are intended for short term lending only, and you are expected to return them promptly in good working condition and clean, whether your job is finished or not.

FUTURE TOOL ADDITIONS 

MPC is open to suggestions for additional tools to add to the Program. Keep in mind the standard philosophy, moderately expensive, to be used only occasionally by any one person for very short term, easy enough to be used by an average shade tree mechanic, portable, and requiring no special adaptations.

Tensioner tools include those used to repair/replace primary and secondary tensioners in the Jaguar XK8/R. Tool Manager: Gordon Richards

SHIPPING

Tools are LOANED for minimum shipping cost only (usually $25). Member is responsible for shipping costs back to the Tool Manager (or next user if pre-arranged by the TM).

Shipping is either UPS Ground or USPS Parcel Post.  Overnight and other forms of expedited service are available at cost to the user.

LOAN PERIOD 

Maximum loan period is two (2) weeks after receipt of shipped tool package.  (Order your parts first)

When a user is unknown to members of the Forum, tool rental may be refused by the tool manager.  In such circumstances, a Paypal rental security deposit in the amount of $300 may be required at the discretion of the tool manager.  This deposit will be returned in full, minus Paypal fees, upon receipt and inspection of the tools by the manager.

User is responsible for any damage to the tools. Damaged items maybe replaced by user from a bona fide retail sources, and/or payment shall be authorized in lieu of replacement at the discretion of the tool manager.
